ARRANGING FOR PRODUCERS: KEEPING IT SIMPLE

Arranging For Producers: Keeping It Simple is an immersive month-long course designed to help your take your songs to the next level. This online course consists of four live Zoom sessions with real-time instruction and includes supplemental “on-demand” materials such as downloadable PDF notes, step-by-step “how-to” videos, and guided assignments to support your progress between sessions.

Arranging is a core part of music production and songwriting, but it’s also where many producers get stuck, usually from overthinking, over-layering, or losing direction. In this month-long course, we’ll focus on the fundamentals of arranging, with an emphasis on simplicity and structure. Rather than adding more to make it feel “done,” you’ll learn how to recognize what a song actually needs and avoid adding elements that don’t serve the idea.

Each week, we’ll break down key concepts such as structure, energy flow, contrast, and how to create impact using fewer elements. Through live demonstrations, guided exercises, and project-based examples, you’ll develop a more streamlined and confident approach to arranging your tracks. Each session will also include time to share works in progress and receive real-time feedback, so you can apply what you’re learning directly to your own tracks and keep things moving forward. By the end of the course, you’ll have a clear workflow for building arrangements, along with practical tools to help you simplify your process and finish tracks more efficiently.

There will be four (4) sessions to support this course, live on Zoom.
